First entry into force on 14 May 2004. The last consolidated version fo the Decree entered into force on 5 June 2015.
Abstract

The provisions of this Decree, with the exception of paragraph (2), specify the following issues: (a) genetic modification; (b) the contained use of genetically modified micro-organisms, \t; (c) the release, placing on the market, import, export, transport or disposal of genetically modified organisms and products derived therefrom, as well as the placing on the market, import, export, \t; (d) the establishment of a genetic modification facility (e) coexistence. The authorization of genetically modified food and feed shall be granted in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1829/2003 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 22 September 2003 on genetically modified food and feed (hereinafter "Regulation (EC) No 1829/2003"). The Government shall designate the Minister for Nature Protection (hereinafter: Minister) as the Gene Technology Authority pursuant to Section 4 (1) (b) of the Tv. The Government of TV. appointed by the Minister responsible for agricultural policy as a cultivation authority under Chapter III. The applicant or the user shall notify the genetic engineering authority within fifteen days of any changes in the application for the authorization of the genetic engineering activity and of the data contained in the license. The genetic engineering authority shall inform the registry within fifteen days of any changes to the data recorded.
