Abstract

This Government Decree establishes that the Agency for the Protection of Consumer Rights and Market Supervision an administrative body subordinated to the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure responsible for implementation of state policy in the sphere of its competence. The Agency's mission is to ensure the implementation of policies in the fields of competence, in the established order and in the limits established by the regulatory framework. The Agency shall perform the functions established by this Regulation, in the following areas: (a) market supervision related to non-alimentary products and the conformity of services provided (including tourism); (b) protection of consumers' rights; (c) metrology; (d) supervision and state control of activities in the field of gambling; (e) safety of work; and (f) compliance with licensing conditions in accordance with the sphere of competence. The Agency shall have the right to draw reports related to offences and apply sanctions and penalties.
