Abstract The scope of this Technical Regulation on goat cashmere processing is to increase the share of valued-added final products and to prevent products that do not meet technical regulatory requirements from entering through state border. This Technical Regulation shall be followed by declaration of compliance, quarantine control and inspection of processed goat cashmere. The origin of raw material shall be determined by local authorities. The manufacturer shall issue a quality guarantee for the cashmere processed according to the standards. Goat cashmere for export and import must meet the following requirements: (a) the content of hairs and intermediate hairs is not more than 0.3 percent; (b) not more than 1.0 percent fat; and (c) humidity not more than 17 percent.
