Abstract The present Regulation is made under the Geothermal Resources Act. In particular, the Regulation lays down provisions relating to the exploration and exploitation of geothermal resources, defined in section 1 of the afore-mentioned Act as "the natural heat of the earth and all substances that derive an added value from it, including steam, water vapour heated by the natural heat of the earth and all substances dissolved in the steam, water or water vapour obtained from a well, but does not include water less than 80° C or hydrocarbons".
