Abstract These Regulations, consisting of 41 sections divided into seven Parts and completed by five Schedules, implement the Geothermal Energy Act by providing for procedures for granting or renewing geothermal exploration permits, for conditions of geothermal authority, for technical work programmes and geothermal operations plans, for information that must be entered in the Geothermal Authorities Register, and for reviews and hearings. Part 2 establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the Geothermal authorities. Schedules specify fees to be paid for geothermal authority applications.
