Abstract

The purpose of the present Ordinance is to transpose into German legislation the Commission Directive 97/35/EC of 18 June 1997 adapting to technical progress for the second time Council Directive 90/220/EEC on the deliberate release into the environment of genetically modified organisms. In particular, the Ordinance lays down provisions relating to application and registration documents and approval and registration procedures under the Genetic Technology Act. The text consists of 16 articles divided into 3 Parts as follows: General provisions (1); data requirements (2); Authorization procedures (3); Omissis (4); Final provisions (5). Three Annexes are enclosed.
