Abstract This 23 section Regulation aims to reduce landfill waste and litter left on roads and in waterways by providing standards for beverage containers and their disposal. Its most significant sections cover: Licensing and operation and of redemption centres (sects. 4-10); Hearings (sect. 11); Deposits and refunds of beverage containers (sects. 12-16); and Refunds, handling fees or royalties, and their remission or and contribution to a special fund, the Environmental Trust Fund (sects. 16-18).
