The present Regulation has entered into force on 3 July 2007.
Abstract

The present Regulation enforces the Clean Water Act, 2006 (S.O. 2006, c. 22). In particular, the Regulation establishes a legal framework for drinking water source protection in Ontario. The text - consisting of 69 sections - deals, inter alia, with the following aspects: definitions of words and expressions, prescribed instruments, prescribed drinking water threats, contents of terms of reference, preparation, approval and updating of assessment reports, drinking water systems, consultation on draft assessment report, submission of proposed assessment report to Director, Ontario Drinking Water Stewardship Programme.
