Abstract

The Vision of the Gender Strategy in the Agricultural Sector 2016-2025 is to: Ensure gender equality in participation, access to opportunities and full exercise of human rights in the agricultural sector, ensuring access to and enjoyment of conditions for increased production and productivity, food and nutrition security of households. Its mission is to: Reduce gender disparities in the agricultural sector by eliminating obstacles and all forms of discrimination against women's control of productive resources and access to the market. The Principles of the Strategy are guided by the former strategy (EGSA 2005-2010), which have been aligned to address the need to promote women's empowerment. along the key components of the agricultural value chain.
