Abstract These Regulations, made under Gas Safety Act 1997 and consisting of 35 sections divided into five Parts completed by thirteen Schedules, provide for the following issues: standards for gasfitting work, for the procedures relating to the acceptance of appliances and gas installations, and for the safety of gas appliances, gas installations and work on gas appliances and installations. Schedules specify the following matter: Information to be supplied by persons seeking acceptance of an appliance; Application for exemption; Information to be supplied by persons seeking acceptance of a gas installation; Additional information to be supplied by persons seeking acceptance of certain gas installations; Additional information to be supplied for a Type B appliance; Statement of compliance in relation to a gas installation; and Statement of compliance in relation to completion of gas installation.
