Abstract

The present Regulation is made under the Oil and Gas Act. In particular, the Regulation ensures that any facility that handles liquefied natural gas (LNG) is safe. It uses the highest standard in Canada for the safe operation, maintenance and decommissioning of an LNG facility. The text consists of 56 sections divided into 7 Parts as follows: General (1); Licence (2); Construction (3); Operation and maintenance (4); Physical and operational changes (5); Records and reporting (6); Penalties (7). One Schedule is enclosed.
