Abstract

The present Regulation enacts the Gas Pipe Line Act. In particular, the Regulation lays down provisions relating to the granting of licences for excavating activities. The text – consisting of 13 sections – deals with the following matters: notice of proposed excavation, duty to inform excavator, length of notice, effect of franchise, responsibility of utility after notice, markings to be maintained, precautions to be observed, damage to pipe line, record of notices and person to receive notices.
