Abstract

The present Regulations enact the Wildlife Act. The Regulations lay down provisions relating to game farming. For the purpose of the present Regulations “game farm" means a location where game animals are held in captivity for commercial purposes. In particular, section 3 establishes that no person shall establish or operate a game farm unless that person is the holder of a valid game-farming licence. The text – consisting of 29 sections – deals with the following aspects: expiry and renewal, suspension, condition of licence, escape from captivity, import and export, reports concerning diseased game animals, enclosures, slaughter of game animals, sale of game farm animals and products, records, transportation, liability and offence.
