Abstract

This Act, consisting of 124 sections divided into eleven Parts, establishes all necessary requirements to perform any activity related to marketing, including licensing for authorized activities to be conducted with this purpose. Future market means any market, place, or any service or facility which, offers, promises or invite to sell, purchase or exchange futures contracts regularly made on a centralized basis, in the acceptance or making offers to sell, purchase or exchange futures contracts. No person shall establish, operate or assist in a future market except if in accordance with a future exchange licence granted by the Commission under section 5. The Act is divided as follows: Preliminary (Part I); Future Exchanges (Part II); Clearing Houses (Part III); Regulated activities (Part IV); Conduct of regulated activities (Part V); Accounts, Capital Requirements and Audit of Regulated Person (Part VI); Insider Trading (Part VII); Other Market Abuses (Part VIII); Supervision and Investigation (Part IX); Powers of Intervention by Commission in Relation to Licensed Persons (Part X); Discipline of Licensed Persons and Miscellaneous (Part XI).
