Therefore, this Act aims at: making available to the public information and data about the operations of public authorities and the institutions; creating a general right of access to information in documentary form in the possession of public authorities, limited only by exceptions and exemptions necessary for the protection of essential public interests and the private and business affairs. The Act concerns: publication of certain documents and information related to functions, roles and duties of public authorities; documents available for inspection; right of access to certain documents; request to access and related procedures; fees; categories of documents exempted from right of access, including: documents affecting national security and international relations, documents related to the administration of Law and legal proceedings, documents affecting personal privacy, national economy, trade affairs.
