Abstract

These Rules shall apply to the whole North-West Frontier Province except the Hazara District. All transport of timber, firewood, or other forest produce obtained form reserved forests, protected forests or waste lands, shall require a transport pass issued by the Divisional Forest Officer having jurisdiction in the area (rule 3). Certain exceptions are made with respect to classes of holders of forest use rights. No timber shall be transported on land between sunset and sunrise. A transport pass shall specify quantity of timber, etc., the owners of the goods transported, the places from which the gods were obtained, etc (rule 5). Marks shall be placed on timber to be transported in accordance with rule 8. (12 rules)
