Abstract This Act provides rules relative to Forest Conservation and Management Associations. A Forest Conservation and Management Association is an recognized association of forest owners that aims at enhancement of sustainable forestry and maintenance of forests (sect. 1). It provides services to its associates (sect. 2). The Forest Central Agency shall delimit the operational sphere of associations (sect. 5). Section 6 contains rules relating to membership of associations. Section 6 concerns associations' involvement in timber trade. Sections 8 to 11 make provision with respect to forest charges. Forest Conservation and Management Associations shall have a reserve fund equal at least to a year of collected forest charges (sect. 14). The remaining provisions (sections 15-27) concern internal matters of associations.
