Abstract

The Forest Rules, 1969 are amended by adding Rule 17A regarding: a) the transport of timber by sea by vessels duly approved by the Minister or any person authorized by him, and b) the fees to be paid to the Government for the approval of fishing vessels. As far as the latter is concerned, Part F of Schedule II draws a distinction between vessels registered in and outside Malaysia, and imposes a fee of $ 500.00 for every additional country of destination.
