The Act is made of three parts. The first part is dedicated to the administration of the act, to be carried out under the laws governing the public service through the creation of a division named the Investment Centre, and the principles regarding foreign investments, through business activities of foreign nationals. The second part covers the investment of foreign assets in Namibia. The Minister may issue a Certificate of Status Investment in respect to those investments and the provisions of sections 8 to 13 shall apply in relation to the enterprise in respect of which the Certificate has been issued. This section provides a guide of the investments eligible for Investment. This section further describes the proceedings for the application and the granting of certificates of status investment, their amendment and transfer, their cancellation. It also provides for the settlement of disputes in respect of Status Investments. The third and last part contains miscellaneous provisions such as offences and, also, regulations on the practical application of the provisions of this Act. Full text English Website mit.gov.na
