Abstract

These Regulations, made by the Minister of Agriculture, Quarantine, Forestry and Fisheries under subsection 79( 1) and paragraph 79(2)(b) of the Fisheries Act, provide that a fishing License (Local Fishing Vessel License, Foreign Fishing vessel License or Locally-Based Foreign Fishing Vessel License) may only be granted within the financial year as defined in the Public Finance and Economic Management Act [CAP 244]. They also set out foreign fishing vessel license fees and locally-based foreign fishing vessel license fees in the Schedule.
