Abstract

This Order amends the principal Order of 2001 to permit the feeding of swill containing certain non-animal products, to animals under stringent conditions. Articles 3 and 4 of the Foot-and-Mouth Disease (Prohibition on the Use of Swill) Order, 2001(S.I. No. 104 of 2001) shall not apply to the collection or feeding of swill that consists of or contains: (a) cereal grains, (b) edible material of plant or vegetable origin, (c) bread and dough (including biscuits), or (d) chocolate that is a product or by-product of brewing, baking or another industrial process and has not been mixed with or been in contact with an animal, animal product or any thing to which paragraphs (a), (b), (d) or (e) of Article 2 of the Principal Order applies.
