The provisions of Food Safety and Standards (Alcoholic Beverages) First Amendment Regulations, 2023 shall come into force on 1st March, 2024. Abstract These Regulations, consisting of 5 sections divided into five Parts and completed by four Tables, specify Food Safety and Standards for alcoholic beverages. Their objectives aims to regulate the manufacturing, packaging, selling and labelling of Distilled Alcoholic Beverages, such as: Brandy, Gin, Rum, Vodka, Liqueur or Cordial or Apertifs, Whisky, Wine, Beer and other Fermented Beverages, in accordance with section 92 of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006.
