Abstract

The present Act lays down provisions relating to the safety of food in the province of British Columbia. Section 2 establishes that an operator is responsible for ensuring that the food in his food establishment is safe for human consumption. Moreover, an operator must not sell or distribute to a person any item of food that is contaminated or otherwise unfit for human consumption. The text consists of 32 sections divided into 4 Parts as follows: Definitions (1); Licences (2); Food Safety Inspections (3); General (4).
