Abstract These Regulations, consisting of 10 sections completed by two Schedules, incorporate the Food Standards Code for the purposes of the Food Act 2003, with the exception of Standard 3.3.1 of that Code as it applies to certain child care centres; provide food-handling requirements for those child care centres; define the appropriate enforcement agencies for the purposes of the Food Standards Code; and prescribe the offences for which infringement notices may be served under the Food Act 2003 and the Food Regulations 2012 and the relevant penalties for those offences.
