Abstract

These Regulations establish Melamine in Milk and Milk Products requirements as follows: no person shall import, manufacture, transport, distribute, sell, keep for sale any milk or milk products in Sri Lanka, containing melamine in levels exceeding 1.0 mg/kg (Part per Million). Every person importing milk or milk products into the country shall produce a Health Certificate from the National Food Safety Authority of the country of origin or the exporting country as the case may be, which states that the products conforms to the levels specified in these Regulations.
