Abstract The present Regulations apply to all premises where food is manufactured, processed, prepared, packaged, stored, handled, displayed, transported, distributed, served, offered for sale or sold. All food establishments in the Northwest Territories must have a valid Food Establishment Safety Permit posted in order to operate. Permits can be obtained by completing an application, submitting the fee, and after a satisfactory inspection by an Environmental Health Officer. Food establishments are inspected by Environmental Health Officers to ensure compliance with the present Regulations under the Public Health Act. The text consists of 43 sections.
