Abstract

These Regulations amend the Food, Drugs and Chemical Substances (Food Labelling, Additives and Standards) Regulations by prescribing standards for food enrichment and food fortification, in particular in wheat and maize products. Labelling of fortified products shall be in accordance with the relevant Kenyan Standard relating to nutrition. If no specifications for the fortification of specific food are set by these Regulations, the Specifications of the Codex Alimentarius Commission, if existing, shall apply.
