Abstract

"These Regulations shall apply in the manner in which the Minister may, from time to time, by Order in the Gazette, direct" (reg. 2). No food shall be imported without a valid import permit. A new import permit shall be obtained from the Commission for each import, even for food included in previous permits (reg. 4). Applications for the registration as a food importer or a food import permit shall be in the form set out in Schedule 2 (reg. 5). Regulation 5 also specifies conditions for the granting of import permits. Food shall only be imported through ports listed in the First Schedule (reg. 6). Food shall not be removed from customs areas before an inspection has taken place (reg. 7). (9 regulations and 2 Schedules)
