Abstract These Regulations, consisting of four Parts and three Schedules, provide for bottled or packaged natural mineral water and bottled or packaged drinking water. The Regulations specify the following provisions: no person shall bottle or packaged Natural Mineral Water or Drinking Water; or import and distribute bottled or packaged Natural Mineral Water or Drinking Water without obtaining a Certificate of Registration in that behalf from the Chief Food Authority. In addition, they specify requirements for water quality control, hygiene and sanitary procedures, packaging, transport and storage conditions, etc. including applications for obtaining the certificate of registration, issued by the Chief Food Authority in the Form set out in Schedule I, accompanied by fee as is determined taking into consideration the procedures which need to be followed for obtaining a Certificate of Registration.
