Amendments provide for replacing regulations 4 and 9, by the substitution for the words "intended for infants and young children” of the words "for infants or young children"; for the definition of the expression "antioxidant” of the following new definition: "antioxidant” means a food additive which prolongs the shelf life of the foods by protecting it against deterioration caused by oxidation; by the insertion, immediately after the definition of the expression “infants”, of the following definition: "foods for infants or young children” means foods that are specially prepared, manufactured or marketed for infants or young children; by the substitution, for the definition of the expression “young children” of the new definition: "young children" means children between the age of twelve months and the age of 36 months.
