Abstract

These Regulations lay down standards for additives used in food, require appropriate labelling of food regarding additives and allow persons to apply to the Minister for purposes of modification of food or colour additive standards prescribed by the Schedule to these Regulations. The Schedule specifies colour and food additives that may be used in relation with fruit and vegetable products, infant food, fats and oils, cocoa and chocolate, meat products and other food and specify the maximum level of additives that may be used.
