The functions of the Committee are: (a) to investigate the advisability of adding fluoride to a public water supply; and (b) to authorize a Water Supply Authority to add fluoride to the public water supply under its control. The Committee shall not authorize the fluoridation of a public water supply so that the fluoride content of that water supply will exceed 0.8 parts of fluoride per 1,000,000 parts of water. Conditions of fluoridation are specified in section 9. The Minister may appoint an Inspector for the purposes of this Act under section 10 and the Head of State may make Regulations in accordance with section 13.
