They implement the provisions of EU Council Directive 97/70/EC in relation to such equipment to be carried on board fishing vessels of 24 metres and over. The Regulations are divided into 5 Parts: general (1); Class I fishing vessel requirements (2); Class II fishing vessel requirements (3); Class III fishing vessel requirements (4); Class VI fishing vessel requirements (V).
