Abstract The Act consists of 29 articles and divided into 5 Chapters. The Agricultural Committee under the Executive Yuan is authorized to deal with the matters of fishing port planning, building, operating, maintaining and management. Article three provides for the definitions of the terminologies such as fishing port, fishing port area, fishing port facilities, etc. Fishing port is classified in four categories (article four). Chapter two provides for the planning, development and operation of the fishing port. Chapter three concerns the maintenance and management of the fishing port. Further articles concern the offences.
