Abstract

A Fishery Management Area may be declared under regulation 11 of the Regulations here implemented. During the open season of 2000, fishing for conch by small-scale artisanal fishermen is allowed in Fishery Management Areas here specified. No motorised vessels shall be used. "Artisanal fisherman" here means a Jamaican fisherman that operates from a non-decked or partially decked vessel no larger than 15.24 metres in overall length.
