It shall apply within the fishery limits, i.e. the area of the territorial sea of Anguilla and the fisheries zone contiguous thereto established by the Proclamation set out in the Schedule to this Act. The Act empowers the Governor to appoint fisheries officers, one of whom shall be designated as Chief Fisheries Officer. The Act further provides for powers of fisheries officers, measures of enforcement and regulation-making powers of the Governor for the protection, management and development of fisheries resources.
