Abstract

This Ordinance regulates the taking and landing of fish in Israel, defines powers of enforcement of fishery officers and other public officers and regulation making powers of the Minister of Agriculture, creates offences, and prescribes penalties in relation to fisheries in Israel. "Israel" is here defined so as to include that part of the sea within six nautical miles measures from the low water mark. "Fish" includes shellfish, turtles, and aquatic mammals.
