Prohibitions specified by it are specific to the recreational fisheries. General groundfish prohibitions are found at §660.12, subpart C. In addition to the general prohibitions, it is unlawful for any person to: (a) Sell, offer to sell, or purchase any groundfish taken in the course of recreational groundfish fishing. (b) Use fishing gear other than hook-and-line or spear for recreational fishing. Restrictions for recreational fishery concern, among other things: gear, fishing in conservation areas (including Essential Fish Habitat Conservation Areas), bag limits, seasons.
