Abstract

This Subpart of Part 648 of the Code of Federal Regulations, among other things: requires the Tilefish Monitoring Committee to recommend to the Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council (MAFMC) separate Annual Catch Limits (ACLs) for the commercial and recreational tilefish fisheries and to identify and review the relevant sources of management uncertainty to recommend Annual Catch Targets (ACTs) for the commercial and recreational fishing sectors as part of the Tilefish specification process; specifies restrictions on Tilefish fisheries (gear restrictions (zones), accountability measures, individual fishing quota (IFQ) program, Tilefish possession limits, seasons, size); provides with respect to Tilefish framework adjustment to management measures.
