Abstract

This Subpart of Part 648 of the Code of Federal Regulations, among other things: sets out duties of the Atlantic Herring Plan Development Team (PDT) and the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission’s Atlantic Herring Plan Review Team (PRT) with respect to herring management (including Overfishing Limit (OFL), Acceptable Biological Catch (ABC), Annual Catch Limit (ACL), Optimum yield (OY), domestic annual harvest (DAH), domestic annual processing (DAP), U.S. at-sea processing (USAP), border transfer (BT)); specifies restrictions on herring fisheries (gear restrictions, accountability measures, possession limits, seasons, size, VMS requirements); provides with respect to Atlantic herring framework adjustment to management measures.
