Abstract

This Subpart of Part 648 of the Code of Federal Regulations, among other things: requires the Bluefish Monitoring Committee to recommend to the Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council (MAFMC) separate Annual Catch Limits (ACLs) for the commercial and recreational Bluefish fisheries and to identify and review the relevant sources of management uncertainty to recommend Annual Catch Targets (ACTs) for the commercial and recreational fishing sectors as part of the Bluefish specification process; specifies restrictions on Bluefish fisheries (gear restrictions, accountability measures, Bluefish possession limits, seasons, size); provides with respect to Bluefish framework adjustment to management measures.
