Fisheries of the Northeastern United States - Subpart I — Management Measures for the Black Sea Bass Fishery (50 CFR 648.140-648.149).

This Subpart of Part 648 of the Code of Federal Regulations, among other things: requires the Black Sea Bass to recommend to the Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council (MAFMC) separate Annual Catch Limits (ACLs) for the commercial and recreational scup fisheries and to identify and review the relevant sources of management uncertainty to recommend Annual Catch Targets (ACTs) for the commercial and recreational fishing sectors as part of the Black Sea Bass specification process; specifies restrictions on Black Sea Bass fisheries (gear restrictions, accountability Measures, Black sea bass possession limits, seasons, size); allows for the designation of special management zone for habitat protection purposes.
