The Rockfish Program authorized under this Part 679 expires on 31 December 2021. The Program concerns, among other things, LLP licenses, rockfish legal landings, rockfish quota shares, Rockfish Program annual harvester privileges, requirements to form a rockfish cooperative in the catcher vessel or catcher/processor sector, Rockfish Program use caps and sideboard limits, recordkeeping, permits, monitoring, and catch accounting, observer coverage. Each calendar year, the Regional Administrator will determine the tonnage of rockfish primary species that will be assigned to participants in a rockfish cooperative.
