Abstract

This Subpart of Part 622 of the Code of Federal Regulations provides rules for fishing for spiny lobster in the EEZ in the Caribbean (EEZ of Puerto Rico or the U.S. Virgin Islands). The Regulations set out requirements regarding gear identification, bag limits, size limits, prohibited gear, landing of lobster intact, etc. They also concern restrictions on the import of Caribbean Spiny lobster into the U.S., annual catch limits (ACLs), annual catch targets (ACTs) and accountability measures (AMs), and adjustment of management measures by the Regional Administrator (RA).
