Abstract

This Subpart of Part 622 of the Code of Federal Regulations provides selected rules for the fishing for mackerel and other migratory species. Rules concern permits, record-keeping and reporting, restrictions on use of gear, gear identification, area and seasonal closures, size limits, purse seine incidental catch allowance, landing of fish (intact), bag and possession limits, commercial trip limits, restrictions on sale/purchase. The Regulations also concern annual catch limits (ACLs), annual catch targets (ACTs) and accountability measures (AMs), and adjustment of management measures by the Regional Administrator (RA).
