Abstract

This Subpart of Part 622 of the Code of Federal Regulations provides rules for commercial fishing for and landing of golden crab in or from the South Atlantic EEZ. The taking of such crab is subject to certain restrictions. Requirements concern permits and controlled access, record-keeping, use of gear, NMFS-approved observers on board of vessels and sale and purchase of live rock. The Regulations also concern annual catch limits (ACLs), annual catch targets (ACTs), and accountability measures (AMs) and adjustment of management measures by the Regional Administrator (RA).
