This notice enters into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.
Abstract

This notice is made under the Fisheries (South Island Customary Fishing) Regulations 1999. The notice relates to a customary food gathering area/rohe moana of the tangata whenua represented by Te Rūnanga o Ōtākou. The area/rohe moana is from Heyward Point to Blackhead in Otago. Notice is given of the reappointment of a Tangata Tiaki/Kaitiaki for the area/rohe moana. The Minister for Primary Industries made the reappointment at the request of Te Rūnanga o Ōtākou. The powers of Tāngata Tiaki/Kaitiaki are set out in the regulations.
