Abstract This notice is made under the Fisheries (South Island Customary Fishing) Regulations 1999. This notice relates to a customary food gathering area/rohe moana of the tangata whenua represented by Te Rūnanga o Makaawhio. The area/rohe moana is an area from the Pouerua River to the Hokitika River on the west coast of the South Island. Notice is given of the reappointment of 1 Tangata Tiaki/Kaitiaki for the area/rohe moana. The Minister for Primary Industries made the reappointment at the request of Te Rūnanga o Makaawhio. The powers of Tāngata Tiaki/Kaitiaki are set out in the regulations.
