Abstract This notice is made under the Fisheries (South Island Customary Fishing) Regulations 1999 (the regulations). This notice relates to a customary food gathering area/rohe moana of the tangata whenua represented by Ōnuku Rūnanga. Notice is given of the appointment of 2 Tāngata Tiaki/Kaitiaki for the area/rohe moana. The Minister for Primary Industries made the new appointments under regulation 9 of the regulations. The Minister did so at the request of Ōnuku Rūnanga. The powers of the Tāngata Tiaki/Kaitiaki are set out in the regulations.
