Abstract This notice is made under the Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Regulations 1998. The notice relates to a customary food gathering area/rohe moana of the tangata whenua represented by Te Papatapu Marae/Ngā Hapū o Aotea Moana. The area/rohe moana is from Matawha Point to Kahua Point, and includes Aotea Harbour. Notice is given of the cancellation of the appointment of a Tangata Kaitiaki/Tiaki for the area/rohe moana and the appointment of a replacement. The Minister for Primary Industries cancelled the appointment and made the replacement appointment at the request of Te Papatapu Marae. The powers of Tāngata Kaitiaki/Tiaki are set out in the regulations.
